The 30 hours of classroom instruction are divided into 15 sessions each 2-hours long. Classes meet 3 times a week. After four classroom sessions, the student is prepared to take the Instruction Permit examination at the office of Secretary of State. After receiving an Instruction Permit, the student will schedule their 8 hours of driving according to their personal schedules.
The student should complete the Driver Education Course in five weeks. The full tuition fee must be paid by the completion of the course. All students who satisfactorily complete both the classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction phases of the program will be presented an Illinois Driver Education Certificate which entitles the student for 0.5 high school credit.
